FAQ & SUPPORT

Getting Started

What software do I need to run Emergence Audio instruments?

All of our libraries run in Kontakt or Kontakt Player (free). Each product page lists the minimum Kontakt version required.

Do I need any other software or hardware?

A DAW is recommended (Logic, Cubase, Ableton, Pro Tools, FL Studio, etc.), but Kontakt Player can also run standalone.

Standard audio interfaces and MIDI controllers work with all instruments.

Installation & Registration

How do I install an Emergence Audio product?

Our products are installed through Native Access.

  1. Open Native Access (version 2 recommended).
  2. Click “Add Serial.”
  3. Enter your serial number exactly as provided.
  4. Click “Install” when the library appears.
  5. Set your content location if prompted.

If you need help updating Native Access, you can download the latest version on Native Instruments’ website.

Native Access is not installing my library. What should I do?

Common fixes:

  • Update to Native Access 2
  • Restart your computer
  • Click the “Refresh” button inside Native Access
  • Make sure the content location has enough disk space
  • Ensure your Kontakt version meets the minimum requirement

If the install button still does not appear, contact us through the support form.

Kontakt says the library is “Not Found.”

This happens when the content folder is moved after installation.

To fix it:

  1. Open Native Access
  2. Click “Locate” next to the library
  3. Point to the correct folder location

I entered my serial number, but Native Access says it’s invalid.

Please verify that:

  • You typed the serial exactly (no spaces before/after)
  • You are using Native Access 2
  • Your NI account is the same one used for previous EA instruments

If it still fails, contact support and include the serial you received.

Troubleshooting Errors

Kontakt cannot find samples or shows missing files.

This usually means the library folder was moved, renamed, or partially downloaded.

Reinstalling through Native Access will resolve the issue.

The library will not load in Kontakt.

Check:

  • You are running the required Kontakt version
  • Your DAW is running in the correct mode (Rosetta / native Apple Silicon)
  • You are loading the .nki instruments, not the sample folder

My DAW crashes when loading the library.

Try the following:

  • Update Kontakt
  • Update Native Access
  • Restart your DAW
  • Clear plugin cache (varies by DAW)
  • Ensure your RAM and disk meet the minimum specs

Compatibility

Which DAWs are compatible?

All major DAWs that support VST, VST3, AU, or AAX.

Includes: Logic, Ableton, Cubase, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Reaper, Studio One, Bitwig, Nuendo, and more.

Mac / Windows Compatibility

Our libraries are compatible with:

  • macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon through Kontakt)
  • Windows 10 and higher

Always check your Kontakt version for specific compatibility notes.

Can I use your libraries without a DAW?

Yes, Kontakt Player can run standalone for performance and sound design.

Licensing & Activation

How many computers can I activate a product on?

Each purchase includes two activations for your personal systems.

Native Instruments licensing does not allow activation on multiple NI accounts.

Can I transfer my license?

Yes, through Native Instruments License Transfer.

Once transferred, your activation is removed and assigned to the new user.

Can I install my product on a collaborator’s computer?

Only if it is one of your two personal licensed systems. Separate NI accounts require separate licenses.

Emergence Audio Pricing & Loyalty

Our goal is to offer fair and consistent pricing while continuing to invest in high-quality instruments and long-term development. This policy helps us maintain the standard our users expect.

Are new releases included in Complete My Bundle pricing?

Not right away. New instruments are available at a special intro price during their launch period. After the intro window closes, the instrument returns to its full MSRP. Once the product has been fully established, it will be added to the Complete My Bundle system much later and your personalized pricing will automatically reflect it.

For the best deal on any new release the intro period is always the time to buy.

Do you offer additional loyalty discounts on new releases?

We occasionally offer extra loyalty savings on select instruments. This is done on a case-by-case basis and is not guaranteed for every release.

Why don’t flagship releases receive additional discounts?

Most customers, including long-time supporters, purchase our instruments during intro pricing or seasonal sales. Because of this, we do not stack further discounts on top of intro pricing for large, flagship instruments.

These releases require expanded recording sessions, extended development, custom scripting, and a larger production budget. The intro price already reflects a significant launch discount.

What qualifies as a flagship release?

Flagship releases are our largest, most ambitious instruments that involve expanded sampling sessions, extended development cycles, and unique or complex engine features. These releases do not qualify for additional loyalty discounts during their intro period.

I own most of your libraries. Does that give me extra discounts on new products?

We truly appreciate the support of customers who collect our instruments. However, owning previous libraries — especially when most were purchased at intro or sale pricing — does not automatically qualify for additional discounts on new flagship releases.

Will a flagship release ever be cheaper than the intro price?

Not during the launch. The intro price is the lowest price offered for the release window. Any future promotions will vary, but intro pricing is not stackable with further loyalty discounts.

Can I request a custom discount by email?

You’re always welcome to reach out, but pricing for new releases, especially flagship instruments, is firm during the intro period. We cannot offer individual negotiated pricing.

How can I stay informed about upcoming sales and promotions?

We plan our sales carefully to provide great value, including chances to complete bundles at promotional prices. Stay updated by subscribing to our newsletter for addition loyalty discounts off the sale price and following us on social media for the latest information.

Account & Purchase

I purchased from a third-party retailer and my coupon code says "The provided gift card doesn't exist or is invalid." What do I do?

You're entering your code in the wrong field. On our checkout page, there are two separate sections: "Redeem a gift card" and "Have a promo code?" — your retailer coupon code goes into the Promo Code field (located at the top of the order summary), not the gift card field. Click "Have a promo code? Click here to enter your code," paste it in, and your discount will apply. If you're still having trouble, contact us.

I purchased an Emergence Audio instrument through the Native Instruments shop. Why don't I see it in my EA account?

Purchases made through third-party shops like Native Instruments are not automatically linked to your Emergence Audio account. To have your purchase added to your library for Complete My Bundle pricing, please contact us with your proof of purchase and we'll get it linked for you.

Where Can I Find My Purchase?

You'll receive an order confirmation via email with all of your order information. You'll also find your purchase in your Account under the 'Orders' section along with your serial number information.
